La Grande Châtelaine Côte de Beaune Blanc 2021

Chantal Lescure was founded in 1975 by Chantal and her husband Xavier, acquiring 18 hectares of land spread between Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits and Volnay in the Côte de Beaune. Currently, their two children are in charge of managing the estate and cultivate plots that extend from Dijon in the north to Meursault in the south. At the Domaine, organic farming is taken very seriously, practicing completely organic farming since the year 2000; they are even certified by Ecocert.

"La Grande Chatelaine" is the name of this cooler parcel, somewhat distant from the other prized parcels of Beaune. The vines here are around 40 years old. The vinification follows a more extended style, with up to 8 months of fermentation, followed by another 12 to 15 months of aging in neutral barrels.
