Se produce principalmente a partir de Cabernet Sauvignon, una variedad de uva que crece bien en el suelo de grava de Batailley. Presenta taninos sedosos y equilibrados, con acidez y longitud. Es un vino que se puede beber fácilmente siendo joven, pero que también envejecerá bien.
