There’s a rumor going around the village: Levert-Barault is one of the oldest wine estates in Mercurey. In fact, its establishment by the Levert family dates back to the 16th century, and there are still records of its presence in the center of the old town of Mercurey. This exceptional vineyard of 9.5 hectares, whose emblematic blocks are called Les Combins, Les Champs Martin, and Clos de Barrault, was acquired by the Picard family in 1997.
