Michel's son, Stéphane Ogier, born in 1977, is one of the youngest winemakers in Cote Rotie. He began working at the estate alongside his father in 1998. In 2003, a new winery with temperature control was built, and the barrel space was expanded. The fruit from all the plots is vinified separately to identify and respect each terroir. Soon after taking over the estate, Stéphane began to introduce new luxury cuvées, and over the last decade, he has developed his own style, crafting great wines that are highly appreciated and sought after, as well as consistently great wines year after year.
