Marine and Gervais, Roland Lavantureux's paternal grandparents, began selling the wines of the domaine in "feuilettes" (barrels of 132 liters, typical of Chablis) in Auxerre and Paris. Roland was the first to bottle the wines in 1979. That same year, he named the domaine after himself. Together with Brigitte, he expanded the domaine from 5 to 20 hectares and continued to develop the business in France and abroad. Since 2010, Arnaud and David have been continuing the story of the domaine with the expansion of the winery in 2012 in anticipation of new projects for the domaine: the management of another family domaine in Bourgogne Epineul and
