The wine estate spans 33 hectares comprised of vineyards located in the hills of the Chianti Classico region, at an altitude of 370 meters. The Chianti Classico di Castellare comes from a selection of the finest clones of Sangioveto. The yields per hectare at Castellare are very low, well below the maximum set by the DOCG regulations of Chianti Classico.
